The Baby-Boomers.
They were the folks born between the immediate years after the second world war and the early 70s. They've had such an influence on our society that it's really hard to even begin to grasp it. SUVs, suburbs, microwave ovens, personal computers -- all these things were invented by or invented for the Boomers. NBC in the US is doing a news special on this important demographic later this week and in anticipation I've been reading a little about them.
